Circled-Letters Word Puzzle Solver

Each mixed-up word has one numbered box per letter. Tick the boxes that are circled under that word's answer line in your puzzle: box 1 is the first letter of the solved word, not of the mixed-up one. The tool reads those boxes on the word you choose, so if a mixed-up word has more than one solution, the circled letters can change with your choice.

It is the word lengths printed under the final answer of the puzzle, for example 3-5 for a three-letter word followed by a five-letter word. The lengths must add up to the number of circled letters. The tool then lists phrases made of exactly the circled letters, common words first. The word lists only hold words of 2 to 15 letters, so every word of the pattern must be in that range.

Rearranging many letters into several words can have a huge number of answers, so the search stops after 300 milliseconds or 200 answers, and tells you which one happened. After a stop on the answer limit you can search for up to 2,000. The list is partial when the time limit was reached.

No. Your letters stay on your device. The tool downloads open word-list files from this site, and those downloads show only the language and word lengths requested. It uses open word lists for English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, Russian and Arabic, so a rare word can be missing and results can differ from the word list of a particular puzzle or dictionary. A mixed-up word is never offered as its own answer. In the Chinese, Japanese and Hindi versions the tool searches English words unless you pick another list.
