The calculator multiplies your conversations per day by the input and output tokens each conversation uses, applies your per-million-token prices, and scales the result by the number of days per month. With 200 conversations a day, 800 input and 400 output tokens each, balanced example pricing of $3 per 1M input and $15 per 1M output, and 30 days, that works out to about $50.40 per month. Every value is editable, so the estimate follows your own numbers.

Most LLM APIs charge a lower rate for the tokens you send (the prompt and context) than for the tokens the model generates back. The calculator keeps the two prices in separate fields so an output-heavy chatbot, like one that writes long answers, is estimated correctly rather than averaged into a single rate.
