Center-Letter Pangram Solver

Type seven different letters, one in each box, and choose which one is the center letter. The tool lists every word in the chosen word list that is spelled only with those letters, contains the center letter at least once and has at least 4 letters. A letter can be used as many times as you like. A word that uses all seven letters is a pangram, and pangrams are flagged.

The tool starts in hint mode: it shows how many words there are, how many of them are pangrams, and a grid of counts by first letter and word length, without showing a single word. Press “Show all words” to see the full list, with the pangrams first and the other words grouped by length. Changing the letters, the center letter or the word list takes you back to hints.

Not necessarily. The tool searches open word lists, not the official dictionary of any game, so it can list a rare word that a game does not accept and can miss a word that a game does accept. The Russian list holds headword forms only. Offensive words are hidden unless you turn them on, and the tool says how many were hidden.

It searches open word lists for English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, Russian and Arabic, chosen from the language menu, and the letters you type must be letters of the chosen list (a German sharp s, for example, counts as two letters, so it cannot fill a box). The page only downloads word-list files, which show the language and the word lengths 4 to 15 but never your letters. The letters are kept after the # in the page address so you can bookmark them.
