It uses Boer. For men: 0.407 × weight (kg) + 0.267 × height (cm) − 19.2. For women: 0.252 × weight (kg) + 0.473 × height (cm) − 48.3. Both produce LBM in kilograms.
Fat mass is total weight minus estimated LBM, and body-fat % is fat mass divided by total weight. Because LBM is estimated, these derived numbers are also estimates.
Boer fits population data and is reasonably close to lab-measured LBM for typical adult builds. It is less reliable for very athletic, very small, or very large frames — use it as a rough reference, not a diagnosis.
